Member Clint Twaddell Argues at Supreme Court of Texas
Branscomb Law Member Clint Twaddell recently presented oral argument to the Supreme Court of Texas in Pape Partners, Ltd., et al. v. DRR Family Properties, LP. Mr. Twaddell also prepared the briefing presented to the Court.
The case involved a question of who has jurisdiction to determine surface water ownership disputes – the courts or Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ). Mr. Twaddell argued on behalf of DRR Family Properties that the Texas Legislature conferred exclusive jurisdiction in TCEQ to determine surface water ownership.
