Water Law in Texas
Our Texas water law lawyers handle the purchase and sale of both groundwater and surface water rights, groundwater development, joint use and water sharing agreements throughout the State of Texas. They have particular experience in matters related to the regional groundwater conservation districts including the Edwards Aquifer Authority. Additionally, several of our lawyers act as counsel to groundwater conservation districts. Branscomb’s water law team has experience in transferring and amending surface water rights, as well as working with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. Our team also has experience related to obtaining water supplies for real estate development and industrial use and reserving and preserving value of water rights connected to real estate.
