Allen P. Bertin is a deal lawyer. Allen represents privately-owned companies and individual investors in all types of negotiated transactions. Allen concentrates his practice on mergers and acquisitions (M&A), with a particular focus on representing the seller’s side, primarily owner-operated and family-owned businesses. Allen’s M&A experience covers many industries, including oilfield services, refinery turnaround services, food and beverage distribution, manufacturing, professional services firms, health care, and technology. Allen also represents borrowers in negotiating complex debt financing transactions and serves as outside general counsel for numerous privately-owned companies.

In addition to his client practice, Allen enjoys mentoring the firm’s junior attorneys and participating in firm management.

Personal

When not working a deal, Allen heads for the Texas coast with a rod or shotgun in hand to spend as much time outdoors as possible. Allen is also an avid traveler and foodie. He enjoys exploring new travel destinations with his wife, Kara, and their friends and family.
